Latest news on Dawson ball production as of Feb 28/2023:

The original Dawson ball recipe went out of production following changes to Australian product regulations which banned one of the substances used. Testing continues to recreate a recipe that meets the specification. The WCF have been advised that there has been some success. Final testing is underway so we hope production might start again soon.

We have an order of balls that has been outstanding since last spring. We are taking 'tentative' orders. If you wish to be on a waiting list "first come, first serve", please contact us by e-mail.

Dawson croquet balls have become the standard to which the top players around the world now play with. They represent the highest standard for croquet balls. Developed over many years in Australia, they have proven to be consistently the closest to WCF (World Croquet Federation) specifications for tournament balls. The Dawson 2000 has excellent playing characteristics thanks to the high manufacturing standards. They meet WCF standards at 16 ounces, 3-5/8" diameter, double milled surface and a rebound rate. Each set of 4 comes in its own storage box.

NOTE ABOUT STRIPED DAWSON BALLS

Due to the nature of the material these balls are made from, the painted stripe may require repainting sooner than Sunshiny balls. We have experimented with several methods and materials and feel that this is currently the most durable we've found. Your feedback is appreciated.
